The exhibition presents thirty works in watercolour, depicting motifs related to Vietnam - both landscapes and scenes of everyday life. It is a personal story about the heritage, belonging and emotional landscape of the artist's homeland.
"This exhibition is a return to my roots. A reflection on the cultural and emotional landscape into which I was born. The images depict not only places in Vietnam, but also the quiet presence of inherited memories, traditions and a sense of belonging.
It is a prelude to a larger project entitled Acquired Identity: Between Vietnam and Poland and is a tribute to the part of me that was given to me, not chosen," - says Minh Dam.
The exhibition is a prelude to a broader artistic project exploring the identity between two cultures - Asian and European - and their intersection in the lives of contemporary people.
