Lia (played by Mzia Arabuli) is a retired teacher. The woman has made a promise to try to find out what fate has befallen her long-lost niece Tekla. When she learns from her neighbour Achi (Lucas Kankava) that the girl may have left Georgia and moved to Turkey, she and the man decide to embark on a journey to find her.
They end up in Istanbul, which appears as a city of possibilities but also overwhelms with its grandeur. It is one of those places where the search for someone who, in addition, doesn't want to be found, seems particularly complicated. Helping the somewhat confused protagonists is Evrim (Deniz Dumanli), who fights for the rights of transgender people.
